Adrenal Fatigue in Women

May 14th, 2011

A woman’s body can be subjected to various amounts and forms of stress. Common ailments that affect women are adrenal disorders. Adrenal fatigue in women involves a dysfunction of the adrenal glands, which means that it is not producing enough steroid hormones, thus impairing the ability of the woman’s body to regulate organ function.

The adrenal glands are two small organs located on top of the kidney. They are connected to the pituitary gland in the brain, which gives them the function of regulating the production of some bodily hormones. This close association with the nervous system has lead some to consider the glands to be controlled by the nervous system, though this is not actually the case.

Symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue

Adrenal fatigue in women can be manifested by several symptoms, the most common of which are abdominal pains, diarrhea, unexplained and sudden weight loss, low blood pressure, muscle weakness and fatigue, vomiting, as well as changes in mood and personality changes. In some instances, adrenal fatigue follows after an accident or injury. If not properly treated, the disorder may cause death or the victim feeling so poorly she may contemplate suicide – a grave possibility which resulted to the inclusion of psychological treatment for treating the disease.

Adrenal fatigue in women commonly results in the victim developing hypoglycemia, dehydration, weight loss, and disorientation. Because of this, the patient also experiences tiredness, muscle and body ache, nausea and vomiting, dizziness, and low blood pressure, which dips further when the patient is standing. In some instances, the patient develops skin pigmentation. These symptoms do not show up all at one time, rather, they develop overtime and gradually.

The Central Element in Adrenal Fatigue

In treating the disease, the central element that is commonly subjected to consideration is stress. This is because stress is common in most patients suffering from the disease. As such, in order to combat the disease effectively, treatment should involve treating stress first. In adrenal fatigue, the disease shows up as a result of the body being unable to cope with stress. This is especially true for women, because females are more prone to stress and their sources than the male gender. That is why patients of the disease are subjected to psychological tests to help them cope with whatever situation that causes them to be stressed.

The most common form of adapting to stress includes adaptation and stress management. These two factors are very vital because treatment of adrenal fatigue may not be a decisive success if the patient is unable to cope with stress successfully. Because stress is defined as a person’s response to different stimulus, response to such stimulus should be properly regulated to ensure that no harmful effect will result.

Other treatments for adrenal fatigue make use of applying intravenous fluids, hydrocortisone, and other medications to combat the disorder. Rest is also advised, although rest by itself may not be enough to successfully treat the ailment.

Brazil Property Investments Has Become Extremely Lucrative For Foreigners

May 14th, 2011

Brazil has become one of the most desirable real estate markets in the world. Its fascinating culture, warm climate, some of the most stunning coastlines in the world, low prices and its booming economy have all combined to add to its international appeal and foreigners are picking up Brazil property investments in droves. Prime property in the choicest of locations is being snapped up by those looking for sound investments.

The biggest advantage for foreigners wishing to pick up property is that they are treated on par with the Brazilians legally in matters of real estate. This means that they have the same recourse to law as the locals and this is a huge benefit in a foreign country. The Brazilian government is going all out to woo the international buyer interested in Brazilian property investments and property and land ownerships are free from restrictions. Real estate in many equally popular tourist destinations across the world is exorbitantly priced with less chance of profitable returns on the investment. Brazil offers lower prices encouraging higher investment returns and its beautiful beaches and balmy weather only add to the attraction.

Brazil also boasts of the largest economy in Central and South America and plentiful land resources. Its economy is strong and stable ensuring that its real estate market remains attractive to property investors. Spectacular ocean front properties, acres of inland area suitable for farming or ranching, city penthouses, family homes or simple apartments; the options for properties are endless. Although traditionally, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo have been the favorite haunts of property seekers, the current trend is moving northwards along the coast. Better infrastructure and increasing investments have raised the confidence in the real estate market of the North. Prices vary tremendously on the type of real estate sought and one can even buy the property and develop it as and when possible.

Compared to many other tourist places, Brazil offers a less frenetic pace of living and this also appeals to a vast majority of foreigners who wish to live there. The low cost of living as compared to Northern countries has also raised the demand from investors, tourists and expatriates. Many foreigners who are interested in tourist-driven Brazilian property investments find that Brazil is the right choice as its natural landscape offers a variety of terrain, thus increasing the potential of a variety of tourism. The country’s Carnival is legendary and its beach life extremely tempting to visitors. Property investors wanting to benefit form Brazil’s flourishing tourism industry and get substantial returns in the form of tourist rentals would do well to buy Brazilian real estate.

Techniques of Handling Customer Complaint

May 14th, 2011

I am working in a customer support department, so I have seen many types of complaint. The range of complains can be pretty wide, it covers the areas such as products, plan, staff’ behaviors, bonus, services……..etc. However, I found out that most of the time the complaint happened due to some kinds of misunderstanding and not due to defective products or bad staff’ behaviors.

The customers may loss their temper and shout over the phone. So, what should we do then? Well, we should let them express their feeling and dissatisfaction. Do not interrupt them while they are speaking to you. Meanwhile, do not object what they have said. Just let them tell you about the whole story and you will have the ideas about the root and cause of the problem.

It would be useless even you are able to out talk your customers and you win in this fight, because you may have hurt customers’ feeling. As a result, you will loss many businesses in future. So, it is important that you understand the problems and speak to them politely to achieve a “win-win” situation. Please do not feel depress or miserable if they scold and shout at you, because customers are not happy with the company’s products, (or something else) THEY ARE NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT YOU! Customers are not scolding you after all; they just raise their dissatisfaction about the company or products.

On the other hand, what should we do if the customer wants to make a complaint at the counter? Actually, the technique to handle these complains is the same as above mentioned. The different is that you should lead the angry customers to a room and serve them with drinks first, then only you start to talk to them. This shows that we respect and we are ready to serve them. Do not let your angry customers to complain in front of the counter to avoid the scene become the central of attraction.

Dear ESPN, You’re Ruining Sports

May 14th, 2011

Dear ESPN, you’re ruining sports

by Zak Kertesz,
The Sports Complainer
written on 06/16/09

—-Plaxico Burress’ hearing is delayed. Donte’ Stallworth is sentenced to jail time. Ryan Leaf (Ryan Leaf?) is eluding the police. courtTV, right? Uh-uh. It’s the present day ESPN. (Note: courtTV is now truTV.)

When Bill Rasmussen, the creator of ESPN, developed the idea in 1978, was his idea to televise scofflaws or sports? I cannot state for certain, but I naturally assume the “S” stands for the latter.

ESPN calls themselves the leading destination for American convicts, I mean sports. So where’s the actual sports coverage?

Sports aficionados don’t want to see the amiss in sports. They “witness” (No LeBron, I’m not talking about you) society’s turmoil everyday when they get out of bed. They don’t need more bedlam and they certainly don’t want it either. They want stats. They want scores. They want actual sporting events.

We, as an aching nation, as a wounded world, want to see things like Michael Jordan’s game winner over Bryon Russell in the Finals. We want to see things like Kirk Gibson’s limp-off home run over Dennis Eckersley in the World Series. We want to see things like USA miraculously beating the Soviet’s in the 1980 Winter Olympics. (“Do you believe in miracles? Yes!” – Thanks Al Michaels)

We want to see things that make our body succumb to horripilation (goose bumps). The joyous feeling that begins in our thoughts but travels to our hearts; the feeling that makes our eyes water and our speech stutter. That’s why we watch sports. That’s why we love sports.

But what does ESPN give our nation, our world, instead? Scandals. Trials. Convictions. Imprisonments. All resulting in further defamation of our beloved sports.

Understandably, it’s a slow time for sports, the summer, it always is. And I accept the fact that news is news and more significantly, this news does involve athletes. Fine ESPN. Put it out there. Remind us of how atrocious our civilization is. But please, oh please, not under the bleeping headlines of your website and not under the bleeping LEAD of your television station.

Rather, install a section entitled: “we must make money” and place these journalistic necessities under such.

Dear worldwide leader in sports, if you insist in altering the “S” in ESPN from sports to scofflaws, then here are some revisions that may assist in further developing your new image:

Sportscenter to Convictcenter.

Jim Rome is Burning to Jim Rome is in the
Courthouse.

Around the Horn to Around the Federal Penitentiary.

Sounds pretty entertaining actually…but not, I repeat not, for a sports network.

Dude, head CEO man (I refuse to waste my efforts in researching your name or title), change it up.

At precisely 12:32 pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2009: ESPN offered courtTV-esque stories as five of its top six headlines (on their website). And the singular headline that differentiates itself from the rest: Brett Favre (but with all of his deception and betrayal, he fits the bill). At least your consistent, ESPN.

Shall we go through the headlines one by one? We shall: (Reminder: This is just in one day. ESPN perpetually does this.)

1. “Stallworth gets 30 days in jail in DUI fatality”

2. (The Lying Wrangler)

3. “Leaf faces Thursday deadline to turn himself in”

4. “NASCAR says Mayfield expert lied about degree”

5. “Phelps gets first endorsement since scandal”

6. “Burress hearing delayed to Sept. 23″

Get it? Got it? Good. Because I don’t get it.

Ryan Leaf? Really? My youngest brother’s JV summer basketball practices are more relevant.
At least he plays.

Poor Michael Phelps. ESPN, Do you really need to continue to bring the kid down? So, he smoked pot. George Washington used to grow fields upon fields of it.

Plaxico Burress shot himself. He shot himself. That should be on Comedy Central, not ESPN.

Indeed, as I previously confirmed, ESPN, the supposed worldwide leader in sports, does have the journalistic responsibility to entertain these topics. But not as main headlines.

Italy rallies to defeat U.S. by a score of 3-1 in the FIFA Confederations Cup; As New Jersey-born (traitor) Giuseppe Rossi scores two goals.

Manny Pacquiao (49-3) (the Philippine Elvis, who is singlehandedly bringing back the sport of boxing) is set to fight Miguel Cotto (34-1) (who is coming off a split-decision victory over Joshua Clottey (35-3)) on November 14 in Las Vegas.

Now those are headlines. True sports headlines.

And if those are not to your liking, ESPN, then provide MLB scores and MLS scores and NASCAR standings and Tennis rankings as your headlines.

Yes, ESPN does acknowledge such information, although assigns them to purgatory deeply within the confines of the cyber underworld; rather than accrediting them to, oh I don’t know, the headlines!

C’mon, ESPN? Don’t you have anyone, anyone within your staff who could figure all this out? Thanks to The Sports Complainer, you now know this.

People who watch ESPN are sports fans, not court fans. If they were, they’d tune in to Judge Judy.

And granted, some individuals do enjoy the drama, but that’s what E! is for.

ESPN and accompanying suits, you are ruining sports. Please, I’m asking you nicely to stop slaying what our world loves.

Our society watches sports to forget about the disorderly distress that life brings forth. To forget about the pink slips and the shrinking paychecks (economy). To forget about the right-wing crazies and the suicide bombers (terrorism). To forget about the continuously escalating fuel prices (energy crisis). To forget about the insane world leaders with powerful toys (nuclear threats). They tune in to clear their minds of such pandemonium, not to convolute their minds with more brouhaha, especially irrelevant brouhaha.

Open your eyes ESPN, realize this. Realize that this society follows sports with their hearts, with their souls, with an expectation that sports will make them feel better about the world around them. And ESPN, you’re ruining that. You really are.

The Economical Benefit of Teak

May 13th, 2011

For a long time, teak has been the first choice for shipbuilding, bridge construction, and railroad construction. In the late 16th century, the Dutch Colonies brought teak into Indonesia mainly in Java then it spread trough out the country. Since then teak becomes massive plantation which mostly in Central Java and East Java.

Teak is valued worldwide as a finest quality of tropical hardwood proven. Teak as a hardwood has strength, durability, sustainability, exotic color and fit to be place as indoor or outdoor furniture. The market of Indonesian teak reaches from Asia, America, Africa, Australia and Europe. Most of teak is exported to Europe as the requirement of export is simpler than the other continent countries.

Instead the popular indoor wood furniture in worldwide, the native inhabitant use the teak in different ways. As they live near the teak forest so it can be a cheap or even free material for them for daily life needs. In Java villages still can be found some barks as material for their house. The bark is functioned as their wall material. The teak leaf is functioned as wrapper for meal, especially for rice or small goods. The branches and twigs are used as villager household fuel.

Teak plantations also give side income to the villagers around. How come? Teak forests mainly provide a land to cultivate. In between the teak trees, they get honey, herbs as natural medication, and yam as the carbohydrate meal substituting the main important staple food.

While teak has been a furniture mainstream today, the old teak that came from middle of nowhere is taken people heart. The old teak is called reclaimed or recycled based on its origin. The reclaimed teak came from source like old demolishing building, rail road, bridge construction, or village house in Java Island. This is another way to solve the market demand on teak furniture supply. By creating the new one from old thing, which the quality is no doubt about, the appearance of tea will last for years to come.
